| This is instruction for making one of Vietnamese cuisine classic fares, "Bun Cha", aka, "noodles with grilled pork", aka, "Number 24". No. 24 is a private joke among my close friends. There was a restaurant in Champaign Urbana where my friends and I used to visit, and this dish was listed as the 24th item in the menu. The dish consists of noodles (Bun) and grilled pork (Cha), served with fresh herbs/condiments (the green stuff atop the noodles) and "dipping sauce" ("Nuoc Cham"), the blue bowl on upper right. Also on the plate is some additional non Vietnamese grilled vegetables. |
