| This is the stage prop from the show, supposedly made of painted pressed board, wood, and twine. My intention was to build a real quality acoustic musical instrument that echoes the design of the stage prop, but not necessarily duplicate the details. I build a smaller version before, and it worked well, but I discovered that I have no time to play with it so it went the way of ebay. Then the charming Miss Dona of the Bay contact me and asked me to build one as a gift for her hubby. I'm a sucker for geeko-romantics, so I agreed. But of course, I didn't want just to duplicate the original pattern, so I decided to made changes to the shape and the dimension. This time I hoped that the sound quality will be even bigger and better. |
